Business technology solutions provider Brother UK has agreed a new partnership with software developer EveryonePrint that will create new opportunities for resellers migrating customer print infrastructure to the cloud.
Brother printing devices will now be compatible with EveryonePrint’s Hybrid Cloud Platform (HCP) – an all-in-one print infrastructure solution designed to lower costs, reduce maintenance and enhance system security.
HCP is a cloud print management solution that removes the need for businesses to maintain, store and license on-premise servers to run their printers, which research firm Gartner estimates to cost companies almost £4,000 per year. Print jobs can be securely stored in the cloud or shared directly with the device, with affordable payment plans and no up-front costs.
The solution simplifies print architecture for businesses by using one driver that’s compatible for a range of printer manufacturers, as opposed to the typical server system that requires separate drivers for different brands. Partners say this will cut the time IT managers will need to spend managing and troubleshooting printer issues.
It also creates a single print queue within a network, meaning employees don’t have to be restricted to collecting printouts from specific machines.
Andy Johnson, solutions alliance partner manager and training manager, said: “Businesses are moving IT services to the cloud to take advantage of benefits including cost reduction and scalability, while keeping the same level of security as they expect from an on-premise solution.
“Ultimately, this new partnership will strengthen the proposition for our reseller partners that provide Brother devices as part of larger multi-vendor fleets, creating a new option to easily integrate our devices with customer print systems under HCP.”
EveryonePrint is a leading provider of cloud-based document infrastructure, serving more than 15,000 customers worldwide.
