The device brings together the industry’s smallest handheld 6” rugged Windows tablet with the unique VTAP100 contactless reader from Dot Origin, designed to read mobile passes directly from Apple iPhone, Apple Watch and Google Android NFC devices.
The tough dustproof, drop proof and waterproof devices run on the Windows 10 operating system with a powerful Intel processor. The battery has up to a seven-hour running time, with the screen on and running video. The VTAP100 will read and decrypt mobile pass data from any compatible Apple or Android mobile device. With the ability to set multiple merchant/pass IDs and encryption keys, it can be deployed in many situations.
