Luke Doneghan joins Circular Computing 

Laptop remanufacturer Circular Computing has appointed Luke Doneghan, previously Head of Channel and Sales Operations at Dynabook Europe, as Head of UK Sales responsible for the company’s network of resellers and partners. Scott Mac Meekin, CEO of Circular Computing, said: “We’re at a pivotal time in our growth, as more businesses respond to ESG pressures and Net Zero targets. We are delighted to have Luke on board to manage and scale our sales operations at such a decisive time for both the industry and Circular Computing. Frank Turquet, DataQube

New VP of Sales for DataQube 

In its first major hire since securing €26 million from RGREEN INVEST in December, DataQube Global, developer of the world’s first standalone, 5G-ready edge data centre module, has appointed Franck Turquet as VP of Sales. Turquet has 15 years’ experience in international telecoms and IT cloud, including senior roles at Huawei Enterprise, Thales and most recently Amphenol Antenna Solutions, where he was Sales Director. His first responsibilities at DataQube will be to set up a network of channel partners, systems integrators, resellers and distributors and to expand the company’s commercial and technical teams in the UK and Europe. David Keegan, CEO of DataQube, said: “Franck’s experience will be integral in the establishment of DataQube as the go-to solution for edge data centre requirements. DataQube’s ability to offer hyperscale performance in a robust, person-free unit will help accelerate industrial automation and drive 5G adoption, unleashing its full potential to enterprises and end-users alike.”

Vizibl turns to ESG expert Jim Massey 

Vizibl, the SaaS platform for supplier collaboration, has appointed environmental, social and governance (ESG) executive Jim Massey to its Strategic Advisory Board as part of a stronger focus on sustainability. Massey has held leadership roles at MedImmune and AstraZeneca, where he served as Vice President of ESG, Sustainability, Ethics and Compliance. He subsequently became a Senior Advisor at Route 2, before moving into his current full-time role of Chief Sustainability Officer at biopharmaceutical company Zai Lab. As a member of Vizibl’s Strategic Advisory Board, Massey will provide objective advice based on nearly 25 years’ experience in the ESG, sustainability and compliance sectors. Vizibl CEO Mark Perera said: “Jim understands the value and importance of embedding sustainability within the fabric of an organisation and its supply chain. Enterprise organisations are rapidly realising that supplier collaboration is no longer a ‘nice to have’; they simply cannot tackle their Scope 3 climate commitments in isolation.”

New EMEA channel head at Cohesity 

Data management vendor Cohesity has appointed James Worrall as Head of EMEA channels with responsibility for the company’s EMEA partner ecosystem and go-to-market strategy. Previously Vice President of EMEA Channel at F5 Networks and EMEA Channel Sales Lead at Juniper Networks, Worrall said: “Cohesity is already helping organisations throughout EMEA transform how they back up, protect, secure and derive value from data through next-gen data management, but we’ve only scratched the surface of what’s possible and the opportunity for partners is immense. The future of our business is in the channel, and I’m focused on continuing to grow, scale and nurture our partner ecosystem and in the process empower more customers to reap the benefits of modern data management.”

New board members at CIPHR Group 

CIPHR Group, a provider of SaaS HR, payroll, recruitment and learning software, is preparing for another year of growth with the appointment of two new board members. HR leader Claire Williams is being promoted to the new role of Chief People Officer to lead the group’s people and development strategy and oversee its HR function and HR consultancy services, while Tracy Ellison, former UK MD of Adare International, is joining CIPHR as its first chief customer officer with responsibility for leading customer-focused functions across the group. Ellison has previously held senior roles at outsourced marketing provider Adare, Wickland Westcott (now New Street Consulting Group), A4e (now part of Staffline) and global recruitment firm Kelly Services, where she rose through the ranks to become UK Managing Director. In 2021, CIPHR Group, which includes CIPHR, Digits Industries and Payroll Business Solutions (PBS), grew its headcount by 19% to 200 employees.

Peacock Engineering expands leadership team
Peacock Engineering, a specialist in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions built on IBM Maximo, is expanding its leadership team with the recruitment of IBM expert Matthew Deadman as its first Chief Operating Officer (COO). As part of a strategy to strengthen its leadership team
and develop its IBM skills base, the IBM Gold Partner has also appointed Helen Fearne as Head of PMO and Dominic Bramley as Head of Pre-Sales Technical Services. Deadman has worked closely with Peacock Engineering in previous roles at IBM and Arrow, where he led the distributor to £80m of annual IBM revenue. With a team of IBM-certified engineers and offices in London, Bristol, Leatherhead, Leeds and Bangalore, Peacock Engineering helps organisations in the FM, life sciences, manufacturing, oil and gas, and travel, transport and logistics industries maximise the value of their assets. Its flagship products, IBM Maximo and Fingertip, reduce maintenance spend, cut operational costs by as much as 30%, improve asset efficiency and productivity, and help industries remain legally compliant.

Steve Cottrell appointed EMEA CTO at Vectra AI
Vectra AI, a leader in threat detection and response, has appointed Steve Cottrell as its EMEA CTO tasked with building relationships with customers, security communities, intelligence
agencies and government; evolving security strategies in support of cloud adoption; and helping security decision-makers to communicate the value of AI-driven threat detection and response tools to senior stakeholders. For the last 15 years, Cottrell has worked as a CISO in large enterprises in the communications, telecoms and insurance industries, including Fujitsu, Vodafone, Aviva and Admiral Insurance. Willem Hendrickx, SVP International for Vectra AI, said: “As we ramp up our focus on large enterprise accounts next year, Steve’s insight and experience will be invaluable. He understands how combining state-of- the-art technology and talented people can drastically improve security.”
