Thompson joins ANS Group as CRO

Manchester-headquartered tech firm ANS Group is continuing to strengthen its leadership team as it aims to double EBITDA to £80m and revenue to £240m by the end of 2025, most recently with the appointment of former TalkTalk executive Richard Thompson as its first Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

In this role, Thompson, who as a Managing Director within TalkTalk Business saw the company grow its wholesale broadband market share to more than 60%, will be responsible for the ANS sales, marketing and commercial functions with a remit to drive significant growth through new and existing channels.

Thompson said: “Having taken some time out to work out my next step after 20 years with TalkTalk, the opportunity at ANS felt like the perfect fit. I love to be the challenger, disrupting markets and generating huge growth. That’s what I saw in ANS.”

Thompson joins CEO Paul Shannon, COO Chris Hodgson, M&A Director Catherine Greening, CFO Steve Townsley and Chairman Richard Bishop on the ANS Group Board.

Sheryl Moore

First Head of Sustainability for Stone Group

Circular IT provider Stone Group has appointed Sheryl Moore as its first Head of Sustainability, with responsibility for leading the company’s CSR, ESG and sustainability strategies and ensuring they are integrated throughout the business.

Previously employed at the Kier Group where she developed and implemented the business’s social sustainability strategy, Moore will ensure Stone continues on its trajectory to Net Carbon Zero, with a view to obtaining PAS 2060 accreditation by 2030.

Moore said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Stone Group, to lead the business on its journey to Net Carbon Zero. Stone is leading the charge when it comes to circular sustainability and building on this reputation to meet our green targets is exciting. Howard Malloy

Ensono backs UK with new appointment

Technology adviser and managed services provider Ensono is reinforcing its commitment to the UK and European markets by appointing Howard Malloy to the position of Senior Vice President (SVP) and Managing Director, Europe. In almost seven years at the company, Malloy previously served as Global Vice President of Client Success and Managing Director for India.

Malloy’s appointment is part of Ensono’s long-term commitment to invest in the UK and wider European market and builds on its acquisitions of IT services provider Attenda in 2016, Microsoft Azure experts Inframon in 2017 and cloud-native consultancy Amido last year.

Malloy said: “There is huge potential for growth right now, especially in the UK market, with the vast majority of firms running on hybrid infrastructure and going through a process of digital transformation. New channel chief for Canon

Canon UK & Ireland has appointed Stuart Miller as its new Director of B2B Indirect Sales responsible for overseeing Canon’s Partner Programme and driving growth across Canon’s indirect sales channels.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the technology sector, Miller previously led a National Sales team for a Microsoft Inner Circle Partner and before that was in charge of Konica Minolta’s Scottish Business Unit and its Private Sector Business Unit.

Miller said: “I’m delighted to be joining Canon at a time when it is increasing its focus on its indirect routes to market. I’m looking forward to leading this exciting part of the business and developing initiatives which will benefit the channel.”

New hire to sharpen Keysource data focus

Keysource, the datacentre and critical environment specialist, has appointed Jon White as Head of Operational Services as part of an increased focus on collecting and leveraging data to support the maintenance, operation and management of complex critical environments on behalf of global clients.

With a strong IT and service delivery background, White has spent the last four years at managed services provider Principal Ltd where he ended up as Service Delivery Director.

Carlos Oliveira recruited by CloudM

CloudM, a SaaS platform for managing and protecting data in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, has taken on Carlos Oliveira as Director of Product and Engineering to refine the company’s product vision for the next three to five years.

Oliveira has more than 12 years’ experience in cloud computing, starting his career in web development in Turin, Italy before setting up Shaping Cloud, a business that helps public sector bodies to achieve digital transformation using cloud technology.

He said: “The opportunity to grow and scale the business is massive. I see a huge amount of potential in CloudM’s software and I’m very excited to be a part of this journey. US growth and recent incorporation will be key, as well as continuing to develop the product’s expansion into the Microsoft space.” To aid its expansion in the US, CloudM has appointed Josh Steinberg as General Manager in North America.
