F(x)tec, a London-based startup dedicated to bringing back features missing from current mobile phones, unveiled its first product at IFA ShowStoppers. The Pro1 is a premium unlocked Android smartphone featuring a sliding and angled landscape QWERTY keyboard with five staggered rows and responsive, tactile feedback with every keystroke. It costs £649. Company founder Adrian Li Mow Ching said: “Our vision of the ideal smartphone blends a modern handset with the very best features and functionality we loved and miss. Our goal is to be the best at niche functional devices, re-creating them in a better and more modern way.”
