Dynabook Europe GmbH describes the Portégé X30L-G as the world’s lightest 13.3in fully featured business laptop with Intel 10th generation processors. Weighing just 870g, the MILSTD-810G-tested device has a light but robust magnesium chassis and a Sharp-developed non-reflective 13in IGZO FHD LCD screen, combining high brightness (470NIT) and reduced power consumption (battery life is 14.5 hours, with four hours from a 30-minute charge). Face and fingerprint biometric authentication, Trusted Platform Module 2.0 (TPM) and Dynabook BIOS help prevent unauthorised access to data.
Driving digital transformation

Getac has adapted its equipment to meet the needs of individual user groups within the company, providing extra security features for R&D applications, for example, and optional barcode and RFID readers for devices used in logistics.
Power and flexibility
Following the success of its first full Windows 10 tablet, the Mesa 2, Juniper Systems Limited has brought out a new version featuring a more powerful, quadcore Intel Pentium processor and twice as much RAM (8MB). This combination gives the Mesa 3 the power and flexibility to run multiple processor-intensive applications, while Microsoft Windows 10 provides access to the data, maps, mapping systems and office software users might need. The waterproof, dustproof and shockproof Mesa 3 is IP68-rated, MIL-STD-810G-tested and comes with a hot-swappable 8 to10-hour battery.

A good yarn
Targus is burnishing its eco-credentials with the Cypress EcoSmart Collection of laptop bags, backpacks, briefcases, sleeves and slipcases, made from recycled plastic bottles and certified by Global Recycled Standard (GRS). Joanne Sessler, Targus Vice President of global design and innovation, said: “By being GRS Certified, we are able to trace the yarn fibre back to the recycling system it came from, as well as the people who were making the yarn, so we know it is being made as sustainably as possible.” The Cypress EcoSmart Collection will go on sale in April.
