Graphic display specialist Leach has expanded its portfolio with new ‘eco’ options. The 16 environmentally friendly materials, including the new Eco Screen made from 100% recycled yarn, are PVC-free, recycled or recyclable. In a recent poll of decision-makers from leading brands, almost two thirds (64%) said they make purchasing decisions with the environment in mind and 49% said they plan to increase their investment in eco-friendly products this year.
USB dongle server
SEH Technology has upgraded its USB Dongleserver family, which removes the need to connect software licence dongles directly to a client by giving secure access to dongles over a network (LAN, VPN, VLAN and Internet). The dongleserver Pro and dongleserver ProMAX feature super-speed USB 3.0 connectivity, integrated storage, encrypted USB communication between client and dongle server and monitoring and logging features for centralised management of dongle server activity.
In a deepening of the relationship between Brother and ThinPrint, the ThinPrint Client is now available as standard on Brother L5000, L6000, L8000 and L9000 professional laser printers and Business Smart X inkjet devices. The pre-installed ThinPrint client provides corporate headquarters and branch offices with greater security through its use of TLS encryption and faster printing and reduced network traffic thanks to compression and streaming technology that reduces data volumes when transferring print jobs by up to 98%.
Small business server
Part of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s new portfolio for small businesses, the hardback book-sized HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen10 Plus is claimed to be as easy to set up as a smartphone and significantly more economical than existing options, with subscriptions from as low as $20 per month. Featuring Intel Pentium and Intel Xeon E processors, it provides enterprise-class features that haven’t been available in a small business/remote office solution before. These include HPE-exclusive silicon root of trust technology, which offers security protection at the silicon level; cloud-based AI management that uses predictive analytics to predict and prevent server issues; and remote server monitoring, configuration and updates.
The new Jabra Evolve2 85, Evolve2 65 and Evolve2 40 headsets provide the optimum balance of collaboration and concentration through seamless integration with software ecosystems and active noise cancellation to minimise distractions. Integration with leading monitoring solutions enables IT decision-makers to identify whether poor call quality is caused by the Wi-Fi router, UC infrastructure or an individual’s headset settings. Jabra Xpress software can also be used to manage firmware updates and the implementation of new features.
New RM series
Benq’s new RM Series Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs) for the education sector are available in 55, 65, 75 and 86-inch sizes. New features include BenQ’s EZWrite 5.0 software; AMS Cloud Storage; 4K Android OS; voice control; and compatibility with Instashare collaboration software and the InstaShow WDC20. This plug and play device lets up to nine devices share content to a screen simultaneously, removing the need to pass around a single cable, run third-party software or acquire network access in order to present to meeting room displays. No additional hardware or software downloads are required; users simply plug the transmitter into their laptop port and push the button to share their screen instantly.
Built to protect small businesses and remote office/branch offices, the OneXafe Solo plug and play device from StorageCraft streams data directly to the cloud via a simple internet connection, with direct backup to StorageCraft Cloud Services (DRaaS) for always-on offsite disaster recovery.
