We have a fairly full issue this month, with news of Circular Computing’s BSI Kitemark on page 46 – very timely in light of COP26; a conversation with Juhani Hintikka about his first year in charge at F-Secure; an interview with tech start-up veteran Tony Shadrake about his new role at passwordless authentication specialist Beyond Identity; an audience with Angel Benguigui, Managing Director at Econocom Group; and much more.
What I’d particularly like to draw your attention to, however, are pages 40 and 41 where we list all the awards and the different categories in the inaugural Technology Reseller Awards 2022. As a vendor, distributor, reseller, MSP, ISV or technology support and services provider, this is your opportunity to gain industry recognition for your successes over the last year and to make sure that colleagues and associates you have been particularly impressed by in the last 12 months (or throughout their career) get the credit they deserve.
I feel that the Technology Reseller People Achievement Awards are especially important after the events of the last two years, when many people have done exceptional work but feel under-appreciated. A survey by digital coaching provider Ezra in the summer found that 20% of workers felt they were getting less recognition as a result of working remotely, while 72% felt they received the same recognition despite putting in additional work. Now’s your chance to show your appreciation.
No doubt, there are other awards that resonate more strongly with you. Whatever your favourite award category might be, it is probably worth sitting down with a cup of coffee and a pen and circling all the awards you would like to enter. The sooner you get started the better, as the deadline for written entries is January 10, which I can guarantee will come around much faster than any of us expect.
In the meantime, you can contribute to the Technology Reseller Distributor Awards simply by voting online at www.technologyresellerawards.co.uk. It is that easy.
