Advanced Labelling Ltd (Labelzone) marked its 30-year partnership with Brother UK by welcoming Brother UK Managing Director Phil Jones to its Poole HQ, where he presented Managing Director Stuart Wilson with a Daruma doll – a Japanese talisman of good luck to use alongside the setting of goals.
Advanced Labelling Ltd, which was established in 1985, has been supplying Brother label printers to businesses across the UK since 1989, making its Brother’s longest serving partner for labelling products.
Phil Jones MBE, Managing Director of Brother UK, said: “We’re delighted to celebrate 30 years in partnership with Advanced Labelling Ltd, spanning two generations of the family business. Originally trading with us as a general office products dealer in 1989, they have since grown to become one of the most important reseller partnerships for our labelling category, developing specialist applications and knowledge to service their extensive customer base. The move from generalist to specialist has seen the business go from strength to strength.”
Brother labellers supplied by Advanced Labelling include rugged P-touch devices, popular with electrical contractors and network installers; the QL range for producing barcode and shipping labels; and new VC-500W inkless, full colour label printers.
Stuart Wilson, managing director at Advanced Labelling Ltd, said: “Many IT and office equipment sub-sectors have faced significant disruption and change over the last three decades, but the labelling category has performed consistently and continues to grow.”
Smithers Pira forecasts the global labelling market to grow by 20% in value to more than £40 billion by 2024.
