020 saw a surge in demand for IoT and mobile connectivity, to the point where according to Vodafone’s IoT Spotlight 2020, 87% of businesses are now saying IoT is critical for their future success.
Pangea has expanded its team by 54% over the course of the lockdowns to meet the growing demand, with more account managers to help partners tap the market and more engineers to create custom IoT solutions.
Meet a few of the new recruits:
New account managers: Lee Simpson and Natasha Terlecki have joined Pangea’s Sales team as their newest Partner Account Managers.
Simpson brings a keen attention to detail and a proven track record for managing customer relationships. He’s a self-confessed geek with a knack for building computers, even appearing as a regular on the show Robot Wars.
And Terlecki is a futurist and expert in all things digital, with plenty of experience using innovative solutions to solve businesses’ biggest problems. If there’s new tech on the horizon, Natasha knows about it.
They join Jo Ryan and Rich Crossingham, Pangea’s new Business Development Directors who came aboard last year.
New engineers: Pangea welcomes Ben Camua and Chris Nicholson to their Operations team as their newest 2nd Line Support Engineers.
Camua hails from the Philippines, sporting a CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) qualification and brings heaps of network engineering experience to the team.
And Nicholson is based in Scotland, supporting the team from Pangea’s Glasgow office with a deep expertise gained from working with both midweight providers and major MNOs.
They’re joining alongside Pangea’s new Operations Manager Donnovan Labuschagne, who began leading their IoT support team last year.
Helping partners take advantage of the growing IoT market
Pangea’s MD Dan Cunliffe is thrilled to have the new recruits on board. ‘Chris, Ben, Natasha and Lee are all experts in their fields, and we’re lucky to have them,’ he said. ‘They’ve already fit right in with the team, and having them onboard will help us serve our partners even better, from both an Ops and Sales perspective.
‘With new IoT devices on the market, 5G network coverage ramping up, and the PSTN network switch-off around the corner, the wireless connectivity market is growing fast. So we’ll keep expanding the team to help our partners take advantage of the growing IoT opportunity.’
