Tech Data has entered an agreement with Information Security Hub (ISH) to offer cybersecurity competency and training to managed service providers and other Tech Data customers in Europe. ISH is the cybersecurity expert for Munich Airport and brings expertise from this role into its education programmes.
The agreement will enable Tech Data customers to access training on an ongoing basis through the Tech Data Academy IT training portal and practise their cybersecurity technical skills in simulated cyberattacks.
ISH cybersecurity courses cover a range of topics including incident detection, analysis and response, business continuity management and information security management.
David Ellis, Tech Data vice president, security and mobility solutions, Europe, said: “The training and education programs we are developing with ISH allow partners and end-customers to experience a simulated cyberattack and provide a safe space to hone their skills. With this initiative, we are helping our partners to accelerate their transformation journeys to building their own specialist security practices.”
As part of a range of activities aimed at the MSP and Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) market, Tech Data is hosting a security summit on Nov. 14, 2019 at the ISH Munich Airport Cyber Range facility and launching a partner transformation program for customers wanting to evolve from a reseller of traditional technology into a Security-as-a-Service provider.
