Entanet, a wholesale provider of full fibre communications services, recently received independent validation of its people management and information security processes, achieving both ISO 27001:2013 and Investors in People accreditation.
It received Silver Standard Investors in People accreditation, following an online staff survey conducted by IIP and individual and group interviews carried out by an IIP assessor.
Entanet HR Manager Tim Roberts said: “Our Investors in People Silver accreditation is a clear indication of our commitment to ensuring Entanet is a fantastic place to work. Entanet’s aim is be the one and only connectivity service provider a UK channel partner wants to work with, and a crucial part of this process is ensuring we have a highly skilled and motivated team focused on putting the needs of our customers first.”
Entanet also achieved ISO 27001 certification – the international standard for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system. As part of the accreditation process, Entanet trained every employee in GDPR and data security; reviewed all its policies; and implemented processes covering all aspects of physical and data security.
Paul Heritage-Redpath, Head of Products, said: “Information security has never been more high profile in the wake of GDPR. As we rapidly grow our team, we’re delighted that the technical and organisational measures we’ve put in place to safeguard our partners’ data have been recognised with certification to this high international standard. It extends through every part of our business and embeds best practice in information handling.”
