As it extends X-OD (Exclusive Networks on Demand) to six more countries, Exclusive Networks has announced that all Fortinet solutions will now be available on a subscription basis through the platform, which transforms capex to opex payments.
Roll-out of X-OD to Germany, Spain, Belgium, Finland, Austria and Ireland, in addition to the UK, France and Netherlands, will enable Exclusive to tap into growing demand for subscription services.
Exclusive says that revenue from subscriptions is growing five times faster than traditional capex-based sales.
X-OD is claimed to be particularly beneficial for MSSPs that, instead of investing upfront in infrastructure capabilities to drive their managed security services, can use the platform to buy technology in the same way they sell it, while also gaining access to data insights to fuel upsell/cross-sell initiatives and targeted sales campaigns.
In the case of Fortinet products, MSSPs benefit from X-OD’s ability to ‘subscriptionise’ products and services into discreet packages that can be bundled with partners’ own service wraps and presented as a single, easy-to-consume offering.
