Technological Innovations Group (TIG) partner GUDE is giving users the ability to remotely control and monitor smart space devices in residential spaces with the introduction of new drivers for its Power Distribution Units (PDU).
The drivers, developed with certified Crestron Master programmers at Ultamation Inc, allow GUDE IP power strips to be integrated into Crestron Home, an advanced operating system for managing smart home systems on-premises or remotely.
The owner of a remote GUDE power switch could use Crestron Home on their mobile device to switch on, switch off or reboot devices such as media players, satellite boxes or routers; view the status of connected devices; receive automatic alerts in case of irregularities; check energy consumption via integrated energy meters; and take preventative measures by adding sensors to the PDU to monitor temperature, humidity and air pressure.
