StarWind has appointed Hammer to distribute its simplified software-defined storage stack, hyperconverged and storage appliances for SMBs, remote offices/branch offices and low- to-mid-tier enterprises.
The partnership is EMEA-wide, and is the first time Hammer has taken on hyperconverged technology optimised for the SMB market. It is the exclusive StarWind distributor in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Benelux, Nordics and Italy.
StarWind is a one-stop shop for fullstack virtualisation infrastructure, providing all the solutions required for a true software-defined datacentre for primary and backup purposes. Its appliances are optimised for Microsoft Hyper-V and are also VMware-compatible.
Benefits include pre-integrated Veeam licences for straightforward, asynchronous backup and replication; a cloud-out option, giving customers the ability to off load ‘cold’ data to the public cloud through service providers such as Amazon S3; and a free of-charge migration service.
Artem Berman, COO and co-founder of StarWind, said: “Hammer has 25 years of experience in data storage, servers and end-to-end solutions and StarWind has experience in IT infrastructure virtualisation, data storage and turnkey solutions. By joining our technologies, experience and partner network, we can offer the market a product with an extremely high ‘price-value’ ratio through the network of partners in the area of virtualisation and data storage systems.”
