Huddersfield-based mobile messaging specialist Voodoo has defied successive lockdowns over the last 12 months and achieved a 400% increase in business sign-ups and a 60% rise in turnover.
Managing Director Gareth Davies believes changing working practices and a greater focus on customer service over the last year have encouraged businesses to use mobile messaging to engage with remote workers and customers, rather than just for managing appointments and deliveries.
He said: “One of the main reasons why more businesses are choosing to adopt mobile messaging is the flexibility it can offer. For example, when businesses were forced to close their doors with relatively little notice, mobile messaging was typically used to help customers make alternative arrangements, as well as advising staff on the steps they needed to take to keep safe.”
Voodoo’s technical division based in Manchester is now planning enhancements to the platform to encourage more businesses to make use of mobile messaging.
Founded in 2013 and awarded ISO 27001 in 2019, Voodoo has some of Britain’s top brands and public sector organisations in its growing client base, including Amazon, HSBC and Sports Direct.
