Leading supplier of billing and provisioning solutions, Union Street Technologies, has appointed industry expert, Gary May, as Sales Director. Known throughout the industry for his work as founder of the channel-focussed sales training consultancy, Salesology, May will be pivotal to driving business growth and developing go to market strategies for new products and services.
Commenting on his appointment, May said, “Back in 2013, I met Vincent at an industry event and Union Street went on to become one of Salesology’s first clients. We stayed in contact over the years and I’m very pleased to now be joining the Union Street team. New private investment, combined with a range of innovative new software products and cross sell opportunities within the group, mean there’s never been a better, or more exciting time to be a part of Union Street. My objective is to ensure the company is able to fully capitalise on these opportunities, to refine our sales strategy, and to improve the high standards already set by the team.”
Reporting to Managing Director, Vincent Disneur, May brings with him a wealth of experience, having started his career in the channel as an engineer almost 20 years ago. Finding sales to be his true calling, May quickly rose through the ranks to become the sales director of a leading communication provider on the south coast. During this time, May contributed as lead author for the 2007 best seller ‘Selling: Powerful New Strategies for Sales Success’, before founding Salesology, in 2013.
Salesology proved to be a global success, with May providing training in over 25 countries. In the channel specifically, 42 clients went on to win awards for their sales programmes following their work with Salesology. In addition, May has made regular appearances both as a presenter and panellist at channel conferences, as well as serving as a judge for various channel awards events. In his spare time, May is a family man, a keen drummer and music producer, and an avid supporter of Southampton FC.
