New generation takes the reins at IT@Spectrum

Canon Platinum Partner IT@Spectrum has appointed a new generation of leaders to implement the next stage of its business plan, centred on a combination of organic growth and acquisitions.

Principal shareholder Ken Sturdy, who joined IT@Spectrum as a Trainee Engineer in 1984 and led a management buy-out in 2003, has become Executive Chairman, with Operations Director Rob Cavill taking over as Managing Director, responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the company.

Sturdy will focus on strategic projects and mentoring of the new leadership team, which also includes Finance Director Katrina Ellam and joint Sales Directors Lee Evans and Graham Frankish.

Cavill joined IT@Spectrum in 2016 to project manage the building of the company’s £2.75 million offices at Bridgehead business park in East Yorkshire. After completing the project on time and within budget, Rob joined the management team, before becoming Operations Director in May 2017.

Directors Tim Davison and Aeon Harwood, also part of the 2003 MBO team, will continue to oversee the Support and Software consultancy functions.

IT@Spectrum has more than 35 years’ experience in helping organisations to print more efficiently, manage their data effectively and automate business processes. It was Canon’s European Solutions Partner of the Year in 2011, 2015 and 2016 and has been a Canon Platinum Partner since 2018.
