Nine out of 10 resellers value aligned technical account management

Nine out of 10 resellers see the value of aligned technical account management and would like to see more investment in such services, claims Tech Data.

Andy Brown, Tech Data UK’s Advanced Solutions Technical Services Director, said: “The customer survey revealed that there is a growing need amongst resellers for high quality technical services at both the presales and post-sales stages. Within Tech Data, we have an exceptional professional and technical services team and our customers call on that capability to fill any gaps in their own skills or as additional capacity when they have a high volume of work to manage.”

He added that making use of Tech Data’s expertise in area such as analytics, Big Data and IoT makes it easier for partners to enter new markets and develop solutions based on emerging technologies.

Other areas resellers believe would benefit from additional investment include support and access to expertise on business intelligence (cited by 85%) and partner-to-partner collaboration (72%).
