Oxford AI firm appoints Mathew Lodge as new CEO

Mathew Lodge, previously SVP of Products and Marketing at Anaconda, has joined Diffblue as CEO. Spun out of the University of Oxford in 2016, Diffblue applies AI to automated code generation to solve critical pain points for development teams looking to deliver high quality code with less effort and in less time.

Lodge has over 25 years of experience in the software industry at organisations of all sizes, including Symantec, Cisco and VMWare, where he was Vice President of cloud services and co-founder of the vCloud Air IaaS service. He was also a board member of the Linux Foundation’s Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). In its first year, Diffblue received £17 million in a Series A funding round led by Goldman Sachs and Oxford Sciences Innovation.
