Greenlaw takes on EMEA role at Veritas

Veritas Technologies, a provider of enterprise backup and data recovery solutions, has appointed Geoff Greenlaw as its new VP of Channel and Alliances
for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI). One of his first priorities will be to roll out the revamped and simplified 2022 Veritas Partner Force Programme, designed to make it more profitable for the channel community to help customers recover from ransomware attacks and manage data across increasingly complex multi-cloud environments. In addition to new incentives and double rebates for key products, the programme is designed to provide greater insight into renewal opportunities and customer revenue forecasting. Greenlaw, who has worked at Veritas for more than 17 years in a variety of sales and channel roles, said: “The acceleration of digital transformation that we’ve witnessed in the last year represents a huge opportunity for the channel. I feel fortunate to be stepping into this expanded role just when we are introducing the Partner Force 22 programme, which will help our channel to address this.”

Hansen joins Egnyte as CRO 

Having added 128 net new hires in the first half of this year, bringing its total employee count to 789, and opened a new office in Asia, Egnyte, provider of a unified cloud content governance solution for collaboration, data security, compliance and threat detection, has rounded out its executive leadership team with the appointment of Stan Hansen as its new Chief Revenue Officer. Egnyte Co-Founder and CEO Vineet Jain said: “After just closing our largest quarter in history, growing 40% year over year, we are excited to welcome a leader of Stan’s calibre to help us capture the demand we are seeing in the market. Stan’s experience in leadership roles at publicly traded companies will be a great addition to the executive suite during this exciting next phase of growth for Egnyte.” Prior to joining Egnyte, Hansen spent five years at Pluralsight, which underwent a successful initial public offering in 2018, most recently as President, North America Sales.

Aryaka appoints ‘industry veteran’ Harrington as EMEA MD
Global provider of connectivity services Aryaka is strengthening its EMEA team with the appointment of industry veteran Steve Harrington as Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. The former Talk Talk Business executive is replacing Ian McEwan, who was recently promoted to global Chief Revenue Officer. In his new role, Harrington will continue to promote Aryaka as an agile alternative to slow-moving traditional telcos and MSPs and support its continued expansion across the region through its network of master agents, value-added resellers and technology partners. As a cloud-first WAN and SASE company, Aryaka combines SD- WAN and security technology with a global network and managed service approach. Its customers include hundreds of global enterprises including several in the Fortune 100.

Brothwell now Exertis Director of AV 

Exertis has appointed Jamie Brothwell as Director of AV, following a brief stint as Commercial Director of the distributor’s Accessories, Peripherals and Own Brand Division. Prior to that, Brothwell held a number of roles in Business Development for B2B and the Exertis Print business, which she led to record sales and revenue growth. Paul Bryan, Managing Director of Exertis UK&I, said: “This is a great example of the depth of talent in our business and the opportunities available for progression and development at Exertis. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Jamie on her new role and wish her every success.” 


Ian Ainsworth

Ainsworth joins PPDS from Exertis 

PPDS, the global provider of digital signage, LED displays and professional TV solutions, has taken on Ian Ainsworth as its new UK Sales Manager. Ainsworth joins PPDS from AV distributor – and PPDS partner – Exertis UK, where he spent almost 15 years in a variety of senior commercial and business development positions. From his time at Exertis, Ainsworth already has extensive knowledge of the PPDS brand and its range of Philips professional TVs, digital signage and interactive display products. Reporting to UK Sales Director Martin Ware, Ainsworth will be responsible for channel management and overseeing the company’s growing sales of interactive products in the UK. 


Appgate puts its trust in Jawahar Sivasankaran
Secure access company Appgate has appointed Jawahar Sivasankaran as its
new President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Reporting to Appgate CEO Barry Field, Sivasankaran will lead the company’s growth strategy and oversee all go-to- market business operations, including sales, marketing, professional services and customer success. Commenting on his appointment, Sivasankaran said: “The world is experiencing an escalating cybersecurity crisis with legacy security defences continuing to fail, leading many forward- thinking organisations to move toward a Zero Trust strategy. Appgate is a definitive leader in identity and context-centric solutions grounded in Zero Trust. for global sales of Cisco’s security business through managed security providers, strategic partners and global alliances. 


Apogee appoints former Royal Marines Commando to inspire UK sales teams Managed workplace service provider Apogee Corp has appointed former Royal Marines Commando Barry Gray as a consultant to its Sales Development Team. Gray has 26 years’ military service, including operational tours of Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan, and in 2018 completed the Challenge Antarctica, skiing solo and unsupported to the South Pole. For the last eight years, he has been drawing on his experience of high pressure situations to bring a fresh perspective to training in large global organisations. At Apogee, he will be working directly with sales teams across the UK, aiming to increase productivity and staff wellbeing through individual resilience, coaching and team management training.
