Tom Ellison

Mendix completes leadership revamp

Siemens business and low-code application development pioneer Mendix has appointed Tom Ellison as Chief Financial Officer, a role previously held by new CEO Tim Srock. His appointment completes the transformation of the Mendix leadership team as it prepares to extend its operations across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific and sustain its current hyper-growth trajectory. Since it was acquired by Siemens in 2018, Mendix has posted 300% growth in annual recurring revenue (ARR) driven by growing interest in low-code technology from enterprises looking to accelerate the time-to-impact of digital solutions and to transform software development from a cost centre to a cornerstone of enterprise innovation. The Mendix enterprise low-code platform has been adopted by more than 4,000 companies in 46 countries and Gartner projects that by 2025 70% of all software development will take place on low-code or no-code platforms. Based in Rotterdam, Ellison has two decades of experience at American and European technology companies, including Dassault Systemes, Hutchinson 3G, Nortel and, most recently, ServiceNow.
