New non-exec for TechTalent

AI-driven EdTech business TechTalent has appointed tech training specialist Nick Todd as Non-Executive Director. Founder of the technical training and IT consultancy Conygre Consultants and co-founder and CTO of food delivery service, Nick has almost 25 years’ experience in delivering training programmes for major brands including Citibank, Jaguar Land Rover, Rolls Royce and the BBC. He also teaches advanced courses in Cloud Computing for Amazon Web Services and is author of the JSP Developers Handbook from Sams Publishing.

Founded in 2019 by CEO Janice Rae and with offices in London, Birmingham and Bristol, TechTalent aims to address the UK skills shortage through a combination of training solutions for corporate clients; an academy that provides students with the skills and certifications they need to kickstart their careers in tech; and recruitment services, where they undertake the entire process of recruiting and training individuals before placing them with businesses.

Janice Rae said: “I’m very much looking forward to working with Nick as we continue on our mission to improve tech literacy across the UK, addressing the UK’s tech skills gap by providing opportunities to our students and solutions to the organisations who work with us.”


Cunliffe takes on new role at Maverick

TD SYNNEX MAVERICK, a specialist division of TD SYNNEX, has appointed Lian Cunliffe to the new position of Business Development Manager for Logitech.

As the distributor’s pan-European strategic lead for Logitech video collaboration solutions, Cunliffe will bring Logitech campaigns to the Maverick reseller channel in 15 countries and provide dedicated support for customers in each region. She joins TD SYNNEX MAVERICK from the UC&C team at Ingram Micro.

Maverick Europe Smart Meetings Director Simon Kitson said: “Lian brings experience, drive and a dedicated approach and will be a fantastic addition to Team Maverick. With a focus on developing and growing the Logitech business in partnership with our team, her role is a natural progression to help our global partners have a more streamlined and effective experience.”


BCN Group appoints Mark Braund as Non-Exec Chairman
Following its recent acquisition of Evo- soft, a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central specialist, Manchester-based IT cloud and managed services specialist BCN Group has appointed Mark Braund as Non-Executive Chairman to help it define, align and meet its strategic goals for the next 4-5 years.

BCN delivers cloud first data strategies, including Microsoft Modern Workplace, Microsoft Azure, analytics, development, and IT security services to mid-market and public sector organisations.

Braund has over 35 years’ experience in the technology, consulting and business services sectors, notably as CEO of RedstoneConnect. In addition to his role as non-executive chairman at BCN Group, he is chair of Livingstone Group, NFS Technology Group, Parity Group Plc and React Group Plc.

Braund said: “2022 is an exciting time to be joining the board, with the company having received investment earlier this year and most recently completing the acquisition of Evo-Soft, strengthening the company’s portfolio. I’m excited to offer my knowledge and experience to the team, as the company enters its next phase of growth.”


Haresh Gangwani,

Intradiem reinforces commitment to UK with MD appointment
Intradiem, a provider of intelligent automation solutions for contact centre and back-office teams, has reinforced its commitment to the UK market with the appointment of Haresh Gangwani as Managing Director, UK. This is on top of his existing role of EVP of Global Alliances.

In his new role, Gangwani will have overall responsibility for Intradiem’s sales and business development operations in the UK, where the company has been expanding its footprint with the establishment of an R&D hub and ongoing investment in sales and marketing resources.


New Field CTO role for IGEL’s Townsend

IGEL, provider of the managed endpoint operating system for secure access to any digital workspace, has appointed Chief Marketing Officer Simon Townsend to the new position of Field CTO for EMEA. He will join Jason Mafera, Field CTO for North America, and Chief Technology Officer Matthias Haas in IGEL’s newly created Office of the CTO.

Haas said: “In establishing the Office of the CTO, one of our primary objectives is to optimise the experience our customers and partners have with IGEL through thought leadership on the future of end user computing and edge security, as well as a clear understanding of the unique challenges customers are facing in their local markets. Together they will become a force multiplier for our Sales and Customer Experience teams including our partner community as we continue to expand this office and establish a repeatable formula for customer success in all the regions we serve globally.”

Townsend joined IGEL in 2018 from Ivanti, where he was Chief Technologist. Before that, he spent more than a decade at AppSense where he served as the company’s Vice President of Product Management.


Connectr Emma Hicks

Connectr appoints Emma Hicks as COO

Former Institute of Directors (IoD) Head of Professional Development Emma Hicks is joining HR technology company Connectr’s executive board and senior leadership team as Chief Commercial Officer.  In her 10 years at the IoD, Hicks led the global
professional development division and held a number of leadership
roles across commercial, product and operations. Before that, she worked at Reed Learning as Strategic Partnership Manager, designing and delivering learning programmes for over 50 clients and external partners.


New COO for Beyond Encryption

UK-based cybersecurity and secure digital comms provider Beyond Encryption has made Adam Byford its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) with responsibility for creating and enhancing partnerships with key industry players.

In his 30+ years in the tech industry Byford has held a number of senior roles, including Managing Director of Synaptic Software and Distribution Director of Anorak Technologies.

Beyond Encryption is the financial services industry standard for secure digital communications. Its Mailock software platform enables organisations to send customer communication securely via email, protected by end-to-end encryption and two-factor authentication capabilities, while also enabling users to achieve a positive environmental impact through the reduction of print, pack and post.
