Portsmouth-based IT & telecommunications company Easy Networks has opened a London office following its acquisition by the easy group managed by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou.
Richard Gwilliam, who founded Easy Networks in 1995, said that because of its name it was only a matter of time before the IT and telecommunications company caught the attention of the easyJet founder who has built a group of companies around the easy brand, including ‘easyHotel’, ‘easyCar’ and ‘easyHub’.
He said: “Last year, I was invited to talks with Sir Stelios, which I thought would be about intellectual property and use of the brand name. However, after some discussion, we realised we both had the same business values and Sir Stelios invited us to join his ‘easy’ family of brands. I went into a meeting prepared for some tough negotiations and walked out with a new business partner.”
Commenting on the newest member of the easy group, Sir Stelios said: “We are very pleased to welcome easyNetworks into our easy family of brands. This is our first venture in an exciting business sector that offers excellent future growth opportunities.
