Exertis marked World Autism Awareness Week (March 29 – April 4) with a series of initiatives for its employees.
These included a webinar on creating a more inclusive workplace for people with autism, led by writer, speaker, parent, teacher and blogger Peter Wharmby, and a free two-hour autism awareness training course hosted by Training2Care.
Jo Lawrence, HR Director at Exertis UK, said: “We’re always working to find new ways to make sure our colleagues feel valued, included and celebrated. An inclusive and diverse workplace gives everyone an opportunity to be heard, and helps our people feel comfortable being themselves at work.”
In addition to these activities, Exertis has been working with Portfield School, a specialist school run by the Autism Wessex charity, where a group of students have been beta testing and reviewing Kitsound Session 45 headphones as part of a social media launch campaign.
