Research shows simple is best when it comes to added value pricing structures

AudPro is to introduce a new simplified pricing structure, aimed at helping resellers incorporate Music-on-Hold in their standard telephony packages, in response to research into post-lockdown challenges for the telecoms channel.

Since restrictions started to be relaxed in April, the UK economy has started to bounce back with 4.8% growth between April and June this year. Competition in the channel is now at an all-time high, with low margins and an ever-increasing number of rivals constantly vying to attract new customers.

AudPro’s research showed that resellers can enjoy vastly higher uptake of value-add services when end-users are better educated about the benefits.  Music on Hold is perceived as an essential service for most businesses re-opening after lockdown but many customers are put off by the added cost, opting instead for cheaper, self-recorded alternatives.*

To help partners overcome these challenges, AudPro has simplified its pricing structure and is coaching partners in strategies to incorporate MoH as a core service, rather than a value-add.

AudPro now recommends a standard starting package supported by a pared down range of ‘Production Packs’.

These include options for 2, 4, and 12 productions per year, with possible margins increasing at every step. And if optimised properly, a single MoH customer can realise over £1500 in annual profit for the reseller!

Most importantly AudPro’s partners are free to charge however they see fit, whether as a one-off cost, subscription service for a recurring revenue stream, or as recommended, folded into standard offerings. This ensures resellers can customise packages to their particular target audience and operational needs.

AudPro director Andrew Jones said now was the perfect time to support customers, reopening their doors, with educational Music on Hold.

“If one thing is true in the channel, it’s that resellers not offering the services customers need, will fall foul of a competitor that will.

This makes it even more important that a service like Music on Hold, especially when leveraged as an educational or upselling tool, is a core offering as end-users get back to normal,” he added.
