The Potteries is playing host to an exciting new tech event, StokeonTech, that will see the some of the region’s brightest minds come together to discuss the future of code.
The inaugural event is taking place on August 2nd at Stoke City FC’s Bet365 Stadium, where up-and-coming developers will come together with the local area’s leading industry figures.
In addition to food, drink and a host of networking opportunities, those in attendance will hear from a key personality within the Potteries’ tech industry, who will attend as a guest speaker.
Keith Sutton is Business Development Director at software business Toca.io, where he helps companies increase efficiency, productivity, and customer experience.
He will use the opportunity to talk about what ‘no code’, an approach to designing and using applications that doesn’t require any coding or knowledge of programming languages, means for the future of developers.
The event, which is themed ‘No Code Meets High Code’, is inclusive, with industry leaders like Keith in attendance, as well as young, aspiring professionals.
Keith Sutton said: “I’m incredibly excited to attend, and speak at, the very first StokeonTech event. We have so much tech talent in the area, so I think an event like this is exactly what we need in Stoke.
“I’m really looking forward to the evening, and can’t wait to meet those in attendance, from the long-time professionals who have years of experience behind them, to the aspiring developers who are just making their way and looking to kickstart their careers.
“Coming together as a community like this is a brilliant way of kicking the local industry on.”
