What to expect at UCX: NOW 2020

James McGough, Managing Director of Clarion Events

With just a few days to go until UCX: NOW 2020, we’re getting ready to welcome some of the biggest and brightest names from all corners of the industry for three days of discussion, exploration and debate about the future of Unified Communication and Collaboration (UC&C). At a time when UC&C is more vital than ever, the event will bring together top experts to share critical expertise on how people and companies can overcome physical and technological barriers to continue pushing boundaries and maximising success both in the present and future.

2020 hasn’t been the year that any of us expected. As with almost every live event since the early part of the year, we haven’t been able to interact with our guests in the way that we have for the past 14 years. Despite the challenges, we’ve adapted quickly and have transformed our physical event to become the inaugural UCX: NOW.

Bringing UCX: NOW 2020 to your home

The event promises to be one of our very best yet and we’re bringing it to you in the comfort of your home! The three-day line up is filled with some of the very best names in UC&C, exploring new challenges, opportunities and taking a look into what the future looks like for the industry. Throughout the event, we will feature speakers from Workplace by Facebook, the Ministry of Defence, RingCentral, Rolls Royce, Cisco, Google and a host of other pioneers in the UC&C sphere.

UCX: NOW will host 36 seminars across six different content streams, plus more on-demand technical sessions, meaning that there really is something for everyone.

In light of this year’s events, many of our sessions will look ahead to what UC&C themes we’re going to see arising as we move towards our ‘new normal’. Our expert line up will also explore how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected our communication techniques and how new technologies are changing the ways in which people work, communicate and live. You will even be able to build your own personalised events schedule to make sure you’re ready for all of the different talks that you want to be at.

Tuesday 29th September will explore how we can enable the future of work, whilst the second day of discussions will focus on smarter collaboration. On Thursday 1st October, the event’s theme will shift to creating modern technology for a modern workforce.

Who you’ll hear at UCX: NOW

UCX: NOW will feature key presentations and discussions from Julien Lesaicherre, Director, Global Sales and Customer Success Lead at Workplace by Facebook, Manisha Mistry, Head of Digital Culture at Rolls-Royce and Miguel Fiallos, CIO at The Salvation Army. The sessions will look at the new working culture in the company of the future, how to manage rapidly moving to cloud solutions and lessons of lockdown when communicating with the frontline. You can find the whole UCX: NOW agenda here.

From the evolving working culture to cybersecurity for remote workers, UCX: NOW speakers will discuss what the future of work will look like for workers across all industries. In a highly topical panel session, Sarah Bar-Lev, Head of People Change and Chief of Staff at UK Ministry of Defence, Lily Dart, Experience Director at FutureGov, Joe Duggan, Head of Communications and Digital at National Youth Theatre, and Antonia Wade, CMO at Capita, will explore how employee communications have changed during the COVID-19 crisis and predict the long-term trends that will impact businesses in the future.

This event will be a different experience for everybody this year, but UCX: NOW promises to deliver the same level of discussion and insight that you’ve been used to over the last 14 years. Simply register with us for access to all of the virtual sessions, networking opportunities and exhibitor interactions, as well as the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals. There really is something for everyone and we can’t wait to open our virtual doors later this month!
