Direct connection

Vivitek has enhanced its LauncherPlus wireless collaboration solution with improved performance and security. Designed for guests who are unable to install Vivitek’s NovoConnect software on their PC/Mac, the £480 device establishes a direct WiFi connection between a laptop and any wireless collaboration solution in the Vivitek Novo ecosystem, including the NovoDisplay all-in-one collaborative panel and NovoTouch all-in-one touch display. New features include single click connection for wireless screen mirroring; five buttons for quick and easy control; optimised WiFi performance with a range of up to 15 metres; and AES 256-bit encryption.


AV configuration

PPDS, exclusive provider of Philips professional displays, has launched an online configuration tool that enables customers to define their ideal AV solution with just a few clicks. PPDS claims the step-by-step tool can compress days or weeks of consultation into hours or even minutes, making it easier for integrators and their customers to create custom AV solutions for a single office, building or multiple locations. PPDS provides a full suite of AV solutions, including Philips Pro TVs, interactive displays and digital signage, as well as software and hardware accessories from partners such as Logitech, GoBright, Telelogos and Crestron.


Air quality sensor

Renz has launched an enhanced version of its award-winning AIR2COLOR CO2 sensor. The German-made AIR2COLOR PRO uses three independent sensors to measure volatile organic compounds, CO2, humidity and temperature. The unit is supplied with two different light bars: one displays a luminous world map, the other a traffic light colour-coded display of CO2 levels. Prices start at £449.99 for a single unit, with discounts for multi-buys.

Securing the hybrid workplace

Cloud tech firm Vapour is integrating endpoint and network security for the hybrid workplace with a new SD-WAN solution powered by Fortinet. Deployed as a software licence with no hardware installation required, the solution provides endpoint visibility and management, secure remote access for employees irrespective of location, and automated threat intelligence and response. It is available on a ‘price per user, per month’ basis, with three licence types – Lite, Premium and Pro – offering different levels of support.


Can I borrow your pen?

Swiss pen manufacturer Von Moos has launched a pen with contactless payment functionality built-in. A chip integrated into the smart pen can be used to tokenise a payment card through the Fidesmo Pay payment service, enabling the pen to be used as a means of payment at all terminals that support contactless payment.

Acronis has extended its Acronis Cyber Backup Cloud solution with anti-malware protection and endpoint protection management and given it the new name of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. As well as unifying data protection, cybersecurity and protection management in one product, installed with one agent and managed centrally through one console, Acronis has introduced no-charge licensing so that MSPs can develop a cyber protection services portfolio for little or no upfront cost, with the option to add advanced protection packs when necessary. These include Advanced Backup, Advanced Security, Advanced Disaster Recovery and Advanced Management.

Audio brand EPOS has entered the video meeting space with the launch of a video collaboration bar running Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android (MTRoA). Designed for small meetings of up to 7 people, the EXPAND Vision 3T features an integrated wide angle 4K camera with intelligent picture framing, enhanced PTZ and voice tracking, plus Microphone Array Beamforming technology with EPOS AI noise cancellation for superior audio. Users can start meetings with one touch and share content wirelessly from their preferred device. The EXPAND Vision 3T costs €1,399.
