Vivitek has introduced a cloud-based content management solution for its NovoDS digital signage range that enables users to pull digital signage content from the cloud to one or more NovoDS devices. NovoDS Cloud also offers content scheduling; the relaying of announcements through an overlay box; and three levels of role-based access rights, for added security.
Combining the discreet design of an incident recorder with the longer recording times of a traditional body-worn camera, the VideoTag VT-100 from Edesix provides added protection for lone workers and employees in public-facing roles. It can stream live video and audio and record up to four hours of continuous evidential-quality footage. Robust, weatherproof and lightweight, it has a battery life of up to three months.

The European Hardware Association has named the HUAWEI P20 Pro ‘The Best Smartphone of 2018’ following a poll of 100 technology editors. The company’s ﬂagship phone features a Leica Triple Camera and AI processor that work in concert to deliver a professional photography experience and support for up to 5x Hybrid Zoom and 10x Digital Zoom. Since Huawei launched the P20 series in late March, it has sold six million units worldwide, 81% more than the P10 Series in 2017.
New from Parrot, the ANAFI ultra-portable, foldable drone features a 4K HDR camera, with zoom, 21MP sensor, 3-axis stabilisation and rotation through 180 degrees. The combination of a lightweight, carbon fibre body and smart battery produces a ﬂight time of 25 minutes. USB-C charging enables ANAFI to be recharged with a phone or PC charger. Pilots can use the FreeFlight 6 application to access automatic control modes and customise camera settings.
Panasonic Business has introduced a new large format 4K professional display series for digital signage in corporate offices, classrooms and retail environments. The SQ1 series includes 86- and 98-inch models with 500cd/m2 brightness and the Intel Smart Display Module (SDM) for improved processing and integration capability.
