Following a successful crowdfunding campaign in December 2021, Novus has launched a green banking app that helps UK consumers make more climate-conscious purchasing decisions. Through a partnership with sustainability-as-a-service provider ecolytiq, Novus provides users with carbon footprint calculations for each transaction in real time. Shruti Rai, Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer at Novus, said: “Being aware of your environmental footprint is the first step towards a more sustainable and carbon-neutral life. Instead of just advising people to eat less meat or travel less as a one-size-fits-all solution, we want our community to be able to identify specific areas where they can change their lifestyle to live more sustainably.”

Sharp has launched a new series of Interactive Touchscreen Tables for a range of applications from business and architecture to healthcare and education. Available in three models – the Early Years, Agile and Flex – all feature a dynamic 32- inch full HD screen with an intuitive touch display supporting up to 40 simultaneous touch points for more engaging teamwork and learning. Each Touchscreen Table is available as a battery-powered or plug-in device with a lightweight stainless-steel frame and easy-lock wheels for stability and mobility. Agile and Flex tables have a built-in adjustable camera, microphone and speakers and integrated Android 10. The Flex Table also offers electronic height-adjustment and a tiltable screen from horizontal to vertical in 18-degree increments.

Sustained Choices aims to help UK consumers make more sustainable food choices by providing them with reliable, accurate information on the environmental impact of retail grocery items. The iOS/ Android app enables consumers to pick foods with a lower environmental impact by giving each one a rating and providing at-a-glance information on how it performs across seven key areas of impact, including land and water use, ocean pollution and global warming.

As part of its evolution into a cybersecurity company, VPN service provider NordVPN is integrating comprehensive Threat Protection into the NordVPN app. Available for macOS and Windows users, Threat Protection blocks web trackers and malicious ads, displays a warning prompt before loading a suspicious web page and scans downloaded files for malware.



Sales automation

Software as a Service (SaaS) provider Adventoris has added two new modules to its e-commerce platform for distributors and wholesalers. SwiftCloud already enables a distributor’s customers to see products, communicate with the company and place orders via an app. Now, with the launch of Email Ordering and Telesales modules, it is integrating other sales channels. Adventoris CTO Aman Shergill said: “When a customer sends an order through to your business via email, it is often the case that the order will be keyed in manually by a member of staff. Our Email Ordering module eliminates the need for manual intervention by pulling data from your customer’s order and placing it in your ERP system, whether it be a text file or a PDF.” He added: “Our Telesales Portal allows sales teams to input orders within seconds and with minimal stress, increasing the overall efficiency and enabling a higher volume of orders to be processed.” SwiftCloud can save customers over 50% in ordering time and deliver a 15% uplift in basket sales.
