Freedom to roam 

Designed with hybrid working in mind, Poly’s latest wireless headset, the Voyager 4300 UC Series, provides wearers with pro-quality audio, freedom to roam, all-day comfort and multiple connectivity options including the ability to connect the headset to a smartphone or a PC via the included BT700 USB adapter (with a wireless range of up to 50 metres). Acoustic Fence technology protects against unwanted background noise, while a dedicated mute button makes it easy to block all sounds when in listening mode. Dynamic Mute Alert warns the user if they start talking when muted. The Voyager 4300 UC series is available with a choice of wearing styles, charging accessories, Microsoft Teams/Zoom-certified models and support/subscription services.

PPDS, the global provider of Philips Professional TV and Digital Signage products, has become one of the world’s first manufacturers to gain Crestron XiO Cloud certification, bringing advanced control and management capabilities to workplace displays. Ideal for corporate environments, the Crestron XiO Cloud platform allows customers to deploy, monitor and manage a wide range of Philips Windows and Android displays and Pro TVs from a centralised location via a web UI dashboard or Crestron touchscreen device. The ability to configure (and update) thousands of displays in the time it takes to configure just one can cut installation times for new devices by up to 90%, while remote monitoring and troubleshooting maximises uptime. In addition, Crestron XiO Cloud workplace analytics help give managers a better understanding of how rooms and systems are being used.

UK network service provider Freshwave has been appointed by Outernet to bring multi-operator indoor mobile coverage to its inaugural central London immersive entertainment and cultural space. Located at the intersection of Tottenham Court Road and Charing Cross Road, Outernet London includes a 2,000-capacity music and events venue, the world’s largest high-resolution wrap-around screens, restaurants, bars and a 55-room/ apartment boutique hotel, the Chateau Denmark. As part of a managed service, Freshwave will deploy and manage 4G indoor mobile coverage for all four mobile network operators across the entire district, with a clear upgrade path to 5G. Over 400,000 people a day are expected to pass through the area when it opens later this year.

Shure is giving users of its Microflex lowprofile boundary and modular gooseneck microphones a quick and easy way to mute themselves, with the launch of a new touch-sensitive mute button. Offering local and remote mute functionality, the customisable Microflex A400MB accessory can be included with new projects or added to existing installations.

Clean machines 

VR business Immotion has established a global reseller network for its Uvisan UV-C technology disinfection cabinets, signing deals with 12 companies worldwide, including Redbox VR and System Active in the UK. Uvisan provides a complete solution for disinfecting (and simultaneously recharging) tablets, laptops, headsets and any other handheld electronic item placed inside one its lockable UV-C cabinets. Disinfection by UV light removes the need for time-consuming manual cleaning and eliminates the risk of damage to equipment from the use of wipes and chemicals.
