Automated communication specialist ANT Telecom has launched the Atlas MX2 industrial smartphone with lone worker protection. The unlocked LTE/WIFI/Android smartphone has an integrated Atlas SOS lone worker app, built-in panic button and Man Down detection for automatic alerts. Users can be located by the integrated GPS when outdoors, or by WiFi points and/or iBeacons when inside.

Offering enhanced portability and performance, the Microsoft Surface Go is now available with LTE Advanced for Business. No longer do workers have to rely on WiFi and potentially unsecure guest Wi-Fi when working away from the office.

The combination of crystal-clear wideband audio and Polycom Acoustic Fence technology provides noise- and echo-free conversations, even in busy open plan offices. Phones are easily deployed, managed and maintained using Polycom Device Management Services for Service Providers (PDMS-SP). These include a web based configuration tool, analytics and troubleshooting. Phone buttons and the interface can be customised to meet individual customer requirements.

Mobile phone users can look forward to improved call quality with the CEL-FI range of mobile phone signal boosters. Brought to the UK by Nextivity, the boosters are approved for 3G/4G/LTE voice and data and can be used without an Ofcom licence. Products are available for the Vodafone, O2, EE and Three networks (and associated MVNOs). A CEL-FI Wave app allows users to switch networks depending on their requirements.
