AOC’s new 15.6-inch portable USB-C monitor comes with a smart cover that doubles as a stand. A built-in auto pivot enables users to switch easily between portrait and landscape modes. The IPS display is ideal for expanding available screen space or for presenting to small groups. Being just 8.5mm thick and needing just one cable for both power and DisplayPort signal, the I1601FWUX (£199) fts easily into most laptop bags. Notable features include a 160/160° viewing angle; a Low Blue Light mode, which reduces potentially harmful blue light and prevents eye fatigue; and a pixel response time of 5 ms GtG for smooth, smear-free action scenes or fast-paced games.

PNY Technologies has launched a new line of Flash drives for Android devices. The DUO LINK OTG USB lightweight storage devices enable users to save, store and share pictures, videos, music and more between smartphones, tablets and computers. Available in Micro-USB and Type-C versions, they come with capacities of 16, 32, 64 and 128 GB and speeds of up to 130MB/s. Both variants have USB Type-A connectors for pairing with a PC, Mac, laptop or printer. They are available on Amazon and cost from £13.99

Powerful HDDs

Toshiba has added two specialist 3.5inch internal hard disk drives to its HDD lineup – the S300 Surveillance Hard Drive for the continuous recording of surveillance footage (available in 4, 6, 8 and 10 TB variants); and the V300 Video Streaming Hard Drive for video recording, editing and streaming on digital video recorders (DVR), network-video recorders (NVR), set-top boxes and TV (available with capacities of 500 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB and 3 TB).

KYOCERA Document Solutions has expanded its economical ECOSYS printer portfolio with three new A4 colour printers (the ECOSYS P7240cdn/P6235cdn/P6230cdn) and four A4 colour MFPs (the ECOSYS M6635cidn/M6235cidn/M6630cidn/M6230cidn). The new devices offer 1200dpi colour quality and are also designed to improve office productivity, with print speeds of 30-40 pages per minute, an improved time to first copy and new dual scanning capabilities.

Shipping labels made easy

Meeting the needs of eBayers and e-tailers, Brother has launched two label printers perfect for the printing of shipping labels. The use of four-inch rolls (DK11247 and DK22246) enables the QL-1100 series to produce labels that meet the size requirements of Royal Mail, FedEx and various online retailers. In addition, a unique crop-print function is compatible with Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) specifications. The QL-1100 (USB) and QL-1110NWB (USB, network, WiFi, Bluetooth) have print speeds of up to 110mm per second.

Nuvias has signed a pan-EMEA distribution agreement with Scandinavian start-up Huddly for its affordable USB video conferencing camera, Huddly GO. Designed specifically for unified communications (UC), team collaboration and pervasive video applications, the pocket-sized camera features an ultrawide 150-degree lens, lossless digital Pan-Tilt-Zoom (up to 4x) and 16 MP video. It is fully compatible with cloudbased UC platforms already offered by Nuvias, including Lifesize, BlueJeans and BroadSoft, as well as Microsoft Skype for Business.

Measure for measure

Panasonic has launched a ruggedised 7-inch Toughpad designed for measuring 3D objects in a range of applications such as warehouse space optimisation, plant and asset maintenance (e.g. to measure cracks in buildings), the monitoring of bed sores and wound healing, crime scene recording and insurance claim photos. The Windows-based Panasonic Toughpad FZM1 tablet with integrated Intel RealSense D410 3D camera (range 16cm-10m) enables field workers to take and process accurate 3D measurement on the spot and use the images with other line of business applications. The Panasonic FZ-M1 can be specified with options, such as a barcode reader, thermal camera, wired LAN, rugged LAN, Serial Port and USB 2.0.
