Round-up of some recent distribution agreements


Nuvias has become the first independent distributor signed by Dropbox for the Northern European markets. Dropbox, with its ability to bring together all of a team’s content, complements the communications and collaboration solutions already available from Nuvias Unified Communications (UC). Nuvias UC CEO Steve Harris said: “Nuvias Unified Communications is always looking for innovative and disruptive technologies to add to our channel offering. We are excited about the new partnership with Dropbox, which demonstrates our continued commitment to help our channel partners tap into new revenue streams and strengthen existing customer relationships.” He added: “We have been avid users of Dropbox since our company was founded in 2009 and are in an ideal position to support channel partners from a technical perspective to integrate this new offering with other products within their portfolios.”


Value-add distributor Exertis Hammer is to add Micron NVMe and SATA SSDs to its portfolio after signing a pan-European distribution agreement with the memory and storage vendor. Micron’s range includes enterprise, client, industrial and automotive offerings and features the industry’s first four bits per cell QLC SSD. Exertis Hammer General Manager Nick Powling said: “Micron is recognised as having leading products within the enterprise market with its SATA and NVMe products. Adding these to our portfolio enhances our ability to provide customers with the right solutions to meet their ever changing needs and expand our customer base across Europe.”

Midwich has entered into an exclusive UK and Ireland distribution partnership with ROOMZ, a provider of next generation wireless room management solutions. The ROOMZ wireless room booking system is easy to install, connect to a wireless network and control via easy-to-use features such as ‘spontaneous booking’ and ‘free the room’.

Kondor, a global channel partner and distributor of consumer electronic accessories into high street retail, online, mass merchant and B2C, has expanded its product offering with the iRing smartphone accessory. The kickstand, with 180°swivel and 360° rotation, can be used to hold a smartphone securely, for wall-mounting or for docking on a vehicle dashboard.

StarLink has entered into an agreement to distribute the Vembu BDR Suite through its network of Value Added Resellers, System Integrators and Solution Providers in North America, Europe and South Africa. Backup and disaster recovery specialist Vembu’s flagship product is an all-inclusive backup solution for virtual (VMware, Hyper-V), physical (Windows, Linux & Mac) and SaaS (Office 365 & G Suite) environments. Duncan Hume, Vice President of StarLink North America, said: “Today’s blended environments of cloud, VM and physical servers potentially introduces complexity into effective and secure backup. Vembu offers a solution that is powerfully simple to implement, while offering granularity and control regardless of location and environment. Sonos has signed a UK distribution agreement with Midwich to help increase installations of its premium In-Ceiling and In-Wall architectural speakers within commercial spaces, such as boutique retail, hotels and corporate boardrooms. Midwich’s dedicated technical audio team will be available to help Commercial & Pro-Av customers, integrators and end-users.
