Round-up of recent distribution agreements from Midwich, BirdDog, Shure, Holdan, Titan Data, e-92, Exertis, Arrow & bit defender

Midwich Group is extending its distribution agreement with audio solutions manufacturer Shure to cover the UK&I and Benelux, in addition to the existing regions of France (through Sidev), Iberia (through Earpro) and Italy (through Prase). The extension will give Midwich Group channel partners access to Shure’s integration systems range of products, including its conferencing & meetings solutions, through Midwich and Square One in the UK and Ireland and through Van Domburg Partners in Benelux.

In another new development, Midwich Group has signed a European distribution agreement with BirdDog, creator of video over IP products and workflows. These include embedded Network Device Interface (NDI) hardware, implemented in a range of high definition and 4K broadcast video converters and robotic pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras, and a suite of software products that tie end-to-end workflows together. NDI is a user-friendly way of sending high-quality video around existing IT networks, giving everyone access to easy-to-use, high-quality video using the equipment they have today. The full range of BirdDog products will be available to Midwich Group channel partners exclusively through Holdan (a Midwich Group company).

Titan data Solutions has added Blocky for Veeam to its growing data storage and cybersecurity portfolio. Jointly developed by GRAU DATA and Cristie Data, this uses application whitelisting to protect Veeam backups from ‘zero day’ threats that can incrementally overwrite and encrypt backups. David Treadwell, Solutions Director at Titan Data Solutions, said: “Ensuring the integrity and security of Veeam backups is an important part of any resilience and recovery plan. Blocky has an instrumental role to play and should be part of any Veeam security technology stack to help fend-off ransomware attacks.”

Exertis has expanded its Pro AV portfolio through separate distribution agreements with SMART Technologies and Mersive Technologies.

The agreement with SMART Technologies covers its full portfolio of products and solutions, including SMART Board interactive displays, SMART Notebook collaborative learning software and the new SMART Learning Suite Online (SLSO), which supports remote and blended learning.

The agreement with Mersive Technologies brings wireless content sharing and collaboration solutions and cloud services to The Exertis Pro AV portfolio of technology products for the B2B, enterprise, mobile and retail markets.

These include the Solstice Pod wireless content sharing console, which enables any number of users, on any device to stream (and mark-up) an unlimited amount of content from their laptop and mobile devices to an in-room display and seamlessly connect participants using any web conferencing service. The Pod connects to the in-room display by HDMI and to the IT network(s) via Ethernet and/or wireless network interface cards.
