Altona has strengthened its 10-year relationship with Midwich by making it the company’s sole AV distributor in the UK and Ireland. Since 2003, Atlona has been designing and engineering AV and IT signal distribution and connectivity solutions for residential and commercial markets. The company’s full product range will be available from Midwich in the UK and Square One in Ireland. Thorsten Goecke, Atlona Director EMEA Sales, said: “We’ve recently restructured our model in the UK and Ireland, with Midwich being chosen for the AV-focused market and Anixter looking after the IT market. Atlona has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with the Midwich Group. Westcon has strengthened the IoT security pillar within its NGS (Next Generation Solutions) go-to-market strategy through a global distribution agreement with Ordr, which specialises in securing connected devices, including unmanaged IoT (Internet of Things), IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) and OT (Operational Technology) devices. Ordr’s platform, purpose-built for visibility and security of all connected devices, automatically discovers and classifies every device and continuously analyses them to map communication patterns, detect any malicious or anomalous traffic and proactively secure each device through dynamic policy generation and segmentation. In an exclusive agreement, Arrow Electronics has become the first distributor in the UK to offer 8th Sensus Inc’s next-generation identity access management software EVE. Its patented machine-learning software embedded in endpoint agents enables customers to do away with passwords, pins, tokens and complicated hardware and recovery procedures and instead identify authorised users by their unique behaviours.
