Global technology provider Arrow Electronics has added Fortinet Adaptive Cloud Security solutions to its self-service ArrowSphere cloud platform. Specially designed for managed security service providers (MSSPs), Fortinet’s solutions reduce risk and minimise the impact of cyberattacks by providing managed security and monitoring services to protect enterprise data, infrastructure and users regardless of who, where, when and how IT assets are accessed. As pay-as-you-go solutions, they enable MSSPs to provide consumption-based offerings, with customers only paying for what they consume.
Following an agreement between the two companies, British distributor and email security vendor EveryCloud is now offering the complete range of Acronis cyber protection solutions to business customers. These include backup, disaster recovery, AI-enhanced anti-malware, endpoint security and management tools, file sync and share, and blockchain-based file notarisation and e-signature services – all managed via a single console and offered with subscription-based pricing.
Exertis has added cloud gaming platform Antstream Arcade to its gaming portfolio across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The retro games streaming platform has the world’s largest collection of retro games, including classic titles like Mortal Kombat, Super Star Wars, Pacman and Space Invaders. Specialist LED distributor PSCo, part of the Midwich Group, has extended an existing 11-year relationship with Sharp NEC Display Solutions by becoming a distributor and accredited technical and service partner for the company’s full range of indoor and outdoor LED products in the UK and Ireland. A key focus will be the company’s indoor fine pitch FE/FA series, which is available in five key pixel pitch sizes and in bundled solutions up to 220in in size. McAfee and Ingram Micro have extended their relationship across Ingram Micro’s global distribution network, including its regional Cloud Marketplaces and Centres of Excellence. The expansion, which follows the launch of McAfee’s SaaS portfolio on the U.S. Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace in late 2020, will make it easier for channel partners to purchase McAfee products and solutions through Ingram Micro. Under the agreement, Ingram Micro will offer McAfee Device to Cloud Suites, designed to help organisations accelerate cloud adoption, and expand its services capability to provide migration services from legacy security technology to McAfee MVISION products. ADAPT – Amari Digital Printing Technologies, a distributor of digital printing technologies and consumables, has signed an agreement with G-Tec Paper & Film to distribute the Touchshield range of anti-microbial protective films in the UK. Offering up to 93.41% protection against viruses and bacteria (in accordance with ISO 21702), the range includes a TouchShield watermark option for added reassurance. ADAPT, which is supplying Touchshield from its national distribution centre in Nottingham, by the metre and by the roll, has created a number of smaller rolls and lengths to meet the needs of a broader spectrum of customers.
Midwich has added Promethean devices to its line-up of interactive display products, following the signing of a UK distribution agreement with the education technology company. The recipient of two 5-star reviews from audio reviews website Whathifi.com, Borea speakers are claimed to deliver a class-leading vocal and midrange performance and punchy, controlled bass.
Nuvias UC, the Unified Communications business within Nuvias Group, has built on its Master Agent relationship with Zoom by becoming a European wholesale distribution partner as well. Partners of Nuvias UC’s Konekt X-a-a-S division – Zoom Master Agent since last summer – now have the option to purchase Zoom licensing and products under a Zoom distributor model or via the Master Agents programme. Jeremy Keefe, CEO of Nuvias UC and Konekt, said: “This was always going to be the next logical step towards developing our Zoom partnership. The Master Agent model has been perfect for our partners who require financial flexibility, easy scalability and sales support. In the largest regional distribution deal in its history, cybersecurity company Avast Business has appointed Westcoast to distribute its full portfolio of on-premise professional antivirus software in the UK. The deal will give Avast access to 9,000 trading partners throughout the UK and strengthen Westcoast’s cybersecurity offering with Avast Business Antivirus/Antivirus Pro/Antivirus Pro Plus, Avast Patch Management and the AVG solutions, AVG AntiVirus Business Edition and AVG Internet Security Business Edition. Westcoast MD Alex Tatham said: “Cybersecurity is the number one issue on the desk of every CIO in the UK. Our partnership with Avast will enhance our security offering and provide a new line of business to our already outstanding software capability. Sound Control Technologies (SCT), the US-based manufacturer best known for its camera extension solutions, has appointed CUK Group to distribute its products in the UK, where distribution was previously handled by ScanSource. The addition of SCT to the CUK Group portfolio represents a further strengthening of the company’s video products portfolio, following its recent acquisition of York-based distributor Tukans and the addition of several new brands to its offering. Stuart Thomson, Managing Director of CUK Group, said: “SCT products are renowned in our industry not only for the problems that they solve for AV integrators but for their rock-solid reliability. Building on an existing agreement between Huddly and Starin Marketing (acquired by Midwich Group in 2020), Midwich Group has signed a global distribution agreement with the video camera manufacturer currently experiencing a big spike in demand for its products in North America. Huddly’s range is available to Midwich partners in the UK and Ireland now, and will be rolled out to partners in Continental Europe and Asia Pacific over the coming months. JAAM Automation, an independent provider of automation software, has signed an agreement with Monday Cloud (Pty) Ltd to distribute DocFusion document and digital signature products in the UK and Ireland.
