Working together This month’s round-up of new distribution agreements


CMS Distribution has expanded its software portfolio through a new distribution agreement with Digitate. The AI-driven software provider’s flagship AIOps software for enterprises, ignio, is an end-to-end autonomous platform that uses advanced ML and AI capabilities to bring contextual intelligence to IT operations for improved resilience, assurance and a better customer experience.

CMS Distribution has also strengthened its gaming portfolio through a new distribution agreement with Taiwan-based memory and SSD manufacturer TEAMGROUP and an expanded partnership with SureFire, Verbatim Europe’s specialist gaming brand. The former will give CMS channel partners access to TEAMGROUP memory products, including its T-Force range for high performance gaming, all of which are supplied with a lifetime warranty. The latter will see CMS extend the range of SureFire products it provides to include mice, headsets, keyboards, speakers, mouse pads, mouse bungees and cooling pads, as well as external SSDs and Hard Drives.

Maverick AV Solutions, the specialist audio-visual business of Tech Data, is bringing the Bose brand to UK meeting rooms in the shape of the Videobar VB1 all-in-one USB conferencing device. AV professionals and IT reseller partners will be able to take advantage of the specialist expertise and sales support offered by Maverick, as well as Tech Data services, logistics and financial resources. Anna-Marie Constantinou, Business Unit Director, Maverick AV Solutions UK, said: “As they return to the workplace, end-user organisations are looking to provide enhanced, productive environments and experiences for their employees. The Bose Videobar VB1 is an ideal core component of high-quality solutions for huddle spaces and conference rooms. Holdan, Midwich Group’s specialist distributor to the professional video and broadcast sector, is taking over the distribution of Atomos products in the UK and Ireland. These include cutting edge 4K and HD Apple ProRes monitor-recorders offering video professionals a faster, higher quality and more affordable production system, whether they create for social media, YouTube, TV or cinema. Holdan Managing Director Allan Leonhardsen said: “We look forward to introducing the Atomos product offering to our customers within various market segments, from Broadcast & Cinema to Photography & Professional video. With the dynamic market transformation over the past decade, we also see a growing number of applications for partners within the Gaming, IT & Audio-visual segments.”

In an extension of its relationship with Bitdefender in EMEA, Arrow has added the latter’s Managed Service Provider (MSP) portfolio of security and threat intelligence solutions to the ArrowSphere cloud management platform, alongside the company’s existing Managed Detection and Response solution. The expanded Bitdefender offering will enable MSPs to deliver threat prevention, detection and response solutions and managed services on-demand. ArrowSphere’s cloud lifecycle management platform includes quoting and ordering, automated provisioning, billing integration and customisable storefronts.

OPSWAT has appointed Arrow Electronics to distribute its MetaDefender and MetaAccess cybersecurity suite across Europe. The critical infrastructure protection products enable customers to add malware protection and detection capabilities to existing IT solutions and infrastructure and ensure that network connections and endpoint devices are visible and allowed/blocked in line with threats. Alessandro Porro, Vice President, Global Channels at OPSWAT, said: “There are an increasing number of weaknesses across critical infrastructure within organisations and vulnerabilities are often found where least expected. OPSWAT’s suite of cybersecurity products can handle common attack vectors so that stakeholders’ personal information and an organisation’s intellectual and critical infrastructure property remain intact.”

Rugged device manufacturer Durabook is hoping to expand its footprint in the public sector through a new distribution partnership with Akhter Computers. The distributor plans to target defence, government, public security and blue light organisations across the UK with a range of Durabook-based solutions that meet public sector ‘best-value’ and ‘price-performance’ stipulations, while offering distribution and reseller partners greater margins, customisation opportunities and support.

Exertis has added children’s smartwatch brand Xplora Technologies to its portfolio. Founded in Norway, Xplora aims to give children a safe alternative to smartphones for staying connected to loved ones and a better balance between screen time and physical activity. While the phones include mobile phone and GPS tracking capabilities (and an SOS button), they do not provide internet access, social media and most game-related activities. Instead, they connect to the Goplay platform, which incentivises exercise by rewarding children with prizes for steps taken. A dedicated app lets parents control and supervise calls, text messages, location tracking, safety zone settings, contact lists and settings.

Westcon is partnering with Anomali to provide customers in Europe with intelligence-driven cybersecurity solutions offering enhanced threat visibility and a shorter time to detection. Anomali solutions, including ThreatStream, Match and Lens, are used by more than 1,500 customers to enhance threat visibility; automate threat processing and detection; accelerate threat investigation, response and remediation; and operationalise all threat intelligence under a single platform, reducing security risks, increasing SOC efficiency by 58% and delivering an estimated ROI of 233% in less than a year. Counting many Fortune 500 companies and government and defence organisations as customers, Anomali is the leading global threat sharing platform for ISACs (Information Sharing and Analysis Centres), ISAOs (Information Sharing and Analysis Organisations), industry groups, holding companies and other threat intel-sharing communities.

Exertis has added Parallels, a global leader in cross-platform solutions, to its Enterprise portfolio in the UK. The Parallels Remote Application Server (RAS) VDI solution is an all-in-one remote working solution that enables companies to gain secure access to virtual applications and desktops on any device, anytime, anywhere. It enhances data security by centrally monitoring and restricting access and enables customers to scale their IT infrastructure on-demand with auto-provisioning.

Fast growing smartphone manufacturer Vivo has signed a distribution agreement with Tech Data that will enable retailers and online resellers to take advantage of the distributor’s services and support when taking the Vivo range of Android devices to market. These include stock management and consignment services; assistance with launch planning and allocation; specialist POS development; and financial options, such as the Tech-as-a-Service subscription-based purchasing scheme and Tech Data Renew trade-in programme. Tech Data also offers pre-delivery configuration and testing services, direct customer shipments, electronic software delivery (ESD) and on-boarding to vendor partner programmes. Three Vivo devices are available from Tech Data immediately: the 6.51-inch Y20 Android smartphone, one of last year’s best-selling devices; the higher-specification Y70; and the X51 5G device.

Code Corporation, a leader in barcode scanning and data capture, has appointed Ingram Micro to distribute its entire line of barcode scanning products and services in the UK and Ireland.
