Working together This month’s round-up of new distribution agreements

Voice and messaging solutions distributor and SIP Trunking provider UC-Reseller has entered into a UK distribution agreement with UC products vendor Grandstream, enabling it to offer resellers PBX, SIP and wired and wireless IP handsets from a single point, together with industry-leading support and partner training events. Adam Mathews, Senior UC-Solutions Specialist at UC-Reseller, said: “Enabling our resellers to have a single point of supply for their PBX, SIP, Hardware, Solution Advice and Validation is key to our resellers’ success, and we are happy to have Grandstream onboard.” Grandstream IP phones can be used with several PBXs distributed by UC-Reseller and have been fully tested for interoperability with the company’s SIP Trunks.


Appgate has appointed Kite Distribution as its UK and Ireland distributor, as it aims to build a leadership position in Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) with a software defined perimeter (SDP) solution offering seamless, scalable, secure remote access across cloud, legacy, hybrid and IoT environments. Ingram Micro has added the full MVISION portfolio of McAfee Device-toCloud suites to the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, enabling its network of ISVs, VARs and MSPs to offer the solutions with subscription-based licensing. McAfee’s cloud-delivered security solutions for hybrid IT environments provide unified endpoint security across endpoints/devices, web and cloud; Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) security for safe network transformation; and integrated Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) security to enable secure digital transformation.


Sherweb has added the LogMeIn LastPass password management solution to its expanding cloud marketplace. The all-in-one solution for password management, single sign-on and multifactor authentication gives MSPs visibility and control over every access point of their clients’ businesses, while empowering end users to generate, secure and share passwords without compromising access to a company’s sensitive data. Harvey Grasty, Vice President, Business Development at LogMeIn, said: “When 80% of breaches involve weak or stolen passwords and 28% involve small businesses, it’s imperative for businesses of all sizes to take control of employee password security. With this partnership, MSPs can minimize their customers risk of a successful data breach and strengthen their overall security posture using an industry leading password manager.”


Cloud products marketplace Pax8 has upgraded its existing distribution agreement with Nerdio into a global arrangement, empowering Pax8 partners worldwide to build successful cloud practices in Microsoft Azure with the Nerdio Manager for MSP platform. Nerdio’s centralised solution streamlines the deployment, management and optimisation of Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) environments across all tenants, with the ability to automatically provision a complete WVD environment in under an hour, connect to an existing deployment in minutes, manage all clients through a single pane of glass admin portal, and optimise WVD environments with powerful autoscaling. Nerdio claims the Azure managed application can also help MSPs achieve savings of up to 75% on Azure compute and storage costs. Ryan Walsh, Chief Product Officer and Channel Chief at Pax8, said: “As companies begin transitioning back into their offices, many will maintain some aspect of remote work enabled through Microsoft’s WVD solution. This will expand the scope and opportunities for partners worldwide, and we are excited to enable the process.”


Maverick – Crestron

Meeting growing demand for collaboration solutions, Maverick AV Solutions, a specialist business of Tech Data, is to distribute Crestron Electronics’ platform-focused Unified Communication solutions in 16 European territories, the US and Canada. Crestron’s only global distribution partnership covers Crestron Flex Enterprise UC video and audio room solutions, audio conferencing products, personal communication devices, room booking panels, IoT sensors and wireless content sharing solutions (each of which can be monitored and managed via the XiO cloud), plus the best-selling Crestron Mercury Microsoft Teams Room ranges.


Proofpoint has appointed Tech Data to help take its cloud-based email security solutions and security awareness training services to mid-market and SME customers. Tech Data’s specialist Security Practice will support new and existing reseller/MSP partners with enablement, education and marketing support, as well as sales and technical expertise. Alison Nixon, business unit director – security, Tech Data UK and Ireland, said: “With hybrid working dominating the agenda, organisations need to tighten control over email and user behaviour. They need to keep a close eye on messaging and equip employees to spot the danger signs and take appropriate action. Ideally, the customer wants someone to take all that off their hands – and that’s especially true of SMBs. With the expertise and support of our security team, and Proofpoint’s solutions, MSPs can help their customers counter all potential email-borne cyber threats.”


In line with its focus on emerging vendors, Nuvias has added deep learning cybersecurity company Deep Instinct to its portfolio in the UK, Benelux and DACH. Deep Instinct uses advanced machine learning techniques based on deep neural network algorithms to predict and prevent known and unknown threats across multiple endpoints and operating systems. Deep Instinct’s ability to detect threats in milliseconds enables more than 99% of attacks to be blocked in real time, before any significant damage can be done. This performance is underwritten by insurance policies with a pay-out 3x higher than for other cybersecurity vendors in the event of a breach.
