StorONE is bringing its softwaredefined enterprise storage platform to EMEA through a strategic distribution agreement with Spinnaker Ltd. Suitable for any combination of workloads (file, block, object), supporting all storage protocols (fibre, iSCSI, NFS, SMB and S3) and utilising any mix of media and applications, the S1 Enterprise Storage Platform simplifies customers’ storage infrastructures while reducing costs. It is available on-premises or in the cloud, with the same enterprise-class feature set and the same interface. Gerard Brophy, Managing Director of Spinnakar, said: “Our approach is to have a community of complementary vendors as part of our portfolio so that we can offer end users the greatest breadth of emerging technologies to satisfy their cloud, data centre and security needs. StorONE’s software-defined storage platform ticks many of the checkboxes we look for in evaluating new opportunities. We look forward to leveraging StorONE’s technology to help our customers achieve the performance, protection and workload placement they need at an attractive cost-point.”

Nuvola Distribution has been appointed a UK and Ireland distributor by Yealink, a manufacturer of communications and collaboration devices. The agreement will give Nuvola’s network of channel partners access to the full range of Yealink IP & DECT phones, conferencing equipment, speakerphones, headsets and accessories. Shine Hu, Sales Manager UK & Ireland at Yealink, said: “Channel partners want the brands that their customers demand, that can also be relied upon. With Yealink solutions and the expertise from Nuvola, resellers can depend on Yealink for communication solutions that go beyond expectations, while resellers can partner with a premium and experienced distribution partner in Nuvola.”

Endpoint management and security specialist Tanium is extending its fiveyear EMEA partnership with Exclusive Networks to address medium-sized organisations with between 1,000 and 10,000 endpoints for the first time. To date, Tanium has mainly focused on serving large enterprise customers, but the rapid increase in remote working, distributed operations and multi-cloud deployments, combined with device proliferation and the growing threat of ransomware, have increased the complexity of managing and securing IT environments and the need for real-time visibility and control of endpoints in midsized organisations. In support of this new approach, Exclusive Networks will handle mid-market transactions in the UK, France, DACH, Benelux and the Nordics, while also extending Tanium’s reach into the Middle East. John Taylor, Vice President of EMEA Channels at Tanium, said: “In many cases, medium-sized organisations are facing the same IT problems as larger enterprises, but they often have to solve them with a constrained amount of time and resource. This is why the simplicity of the Tanium platform is appealing to these customers, with its single view of critical endpoint data that allows them to make informed IT decisions at speed.”

Through a new partnership with edgescan, Tech Data is offering partners consumption-based vulnerability scanning and penetration testing that they can provide to enterprise and mid-market customers on an ‘as-a-service’ basis. Alison Nixon, Director – Security, Tech Data Advanced Solutions UK & Ireland, said: “One of the constant challenges organisations face with security is knowing where the gaps are in their defences – and no-one wants to discover that the hard way. With edgescan’s solutions and services, backed by Tech Data’s own security expertise and services, partners can offer comprehensive vulnerability management that will identify any possible attack surfaces that cybercriminals could exploit. That has tremendous value for customers – reducing their risk and enhancing their overall security posture. It gives partners huge potential to extend their security services offering.”

Exclusive Networks and Juniper Networks are building on their etablished regional engagements in EMEA, North America and APAC with the signing of a worldwide distribution agreement that will enable the two companies to address market opportunities in AI-driven network, cloud and connected security solutions globally. Gordon Mackintosh, VP Global Channels Leader at Juniper Networks, said: “We look forward to extending our partnership and scaling up the traction we’ve achieved regionally to a global basis. This will allow us to further enable and deliver the full Juniper portfolio to Exclusive’s global partner ecosystem, particularly some of our innovative technology focus areas around the AIOps opportunity with Juniper Mist and related solutions.” Juniper Mist AI technology drives automation, insight and assured user experience across the stack, delivering AIOps solutions for experiencefirst networking from the LAN/WLAN to the SD-WAN, automated WAN backbone and cloud-ready data centre. BCC Research is forecasting the global AIOps market to grow at a CAGR of over 26% to $9.4bn by 2026.
