Working together This month’s round-up of new distribution agreements

Exclusive Networks has announced a new distribution agreement with HYCU, Inc., an enterprise software company specialising in data backup, recovery and monitoring for next-generation enterprise clouds. The agreement gives Exclusive Networks channel partners a suite of offerings to support Nutanix Enterprise Cloud customers, including the newly launched Nutanix Mine with HYCU, a purpose-built integrated secondary storage solution. Justyn Leonard, Head of Cloud Transformation at Exclusive Networks, said: “The initial market response to the Nutanix Mine with HYCU solution has been remarkable and opens up significant opportunities for partners going after the secondary storage space, creating real value and true differentiation.”

Tech Data has strengthened its security offering in the UK with LogPoint SIEM solutions that can be used independently or to wrap security, compliance and business analytics around other technologies in its portfolio. David Ellis, Tech Data Vice President, Security and Mobility Solutions, Europe, said: “The LogPoint SIEM system is designed from the ground up to be simple, flexible and scalable. These characteristics, combined with a flat licensing model, make it a powerful network security tool that opens up new opportunities for our partner community. Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can also use the LogPoint system as a building block for their own SIEM services.”


Qumulo, a leader in hybrid cloud file storage, has expanded its market reach through distribution agreements with Arrow Electronics and Global Distribution, a specialist in the media and entertainment industry. It has also extended an existing relationship with HPE, with hybrid cloud file software as-a-service for HPE Greenlake, and entered into a partnership with Fujitsu, which has added Qumulo hybrid cloud file storage to its storage portfolio.

CMS Distribution, the value-added IT distributor of business and consumer technology products, has signed a UK distribution agreement with computer components manufacturer AeroCool to extend its reach in the B2B and retail space. Established in 2002, AeroCool supplies PC cases, fans, coolers, power supplies, gaming chairs and computer accessories.

VIP UK, the Warrington-based independent distributor of PC components, gaming peripherals and IT products, has been appointed an Authorised Microsoft Distributor for COEM Products, following a long-standing relationship between the two companies. Rich Marsden, Managing Director of VIP UK, said: “We want to be the best Windows Software Distributor in the component and system building space, and this announcement further strengthens our position as the UK’s leading distributor for PC Components.” Authorised Distributor status will enable VIP UK to provide tailored campaigns and a platform of support and value-added services to help customers in the independent retail channel raise end user awareness and in-store engagement with Windows 10 software.


Mobile and technology distributor Data Select is to distribute TCL TVs, soundbars and white goods in the UK, starting with a range of Android TVs in March 2020, followed by QLED TVs in Q2. TCL, the second biggest TV manufacturer in the world, has chosen Data Select to help grow UK TV sales and expand into other areas, such as audio and smart home products.
