Intoware Expands Its Software Engineering Team With A Double Appointment

Digitisation leader Intoware based in Nottingham, has expanded its software engineering team after a successful 2021, with the appointment of Paul Cope as senior software engineer and Mark Hundley-Appleton as software engineer.

Paul Cope brings 25 years’ software engineering experience to the role, joining Intoware from the Gambling Commission. As a senior developer he was instrumental to the establishment of cutting edge, user centric design within the Commission. He helped its developers to fully implement SOLID design patterns and provided architecture support while leading its largest application, regulatory returns.

He will use his proven expertise to help drive the development of Intoware’s digital work-instruction ‘tool’ WorkfloPlus. He believes that a ‘user-first’ approach is at the core of the software development process, which means he will be encouraging the team to always steps back and look at problems with a fresh eye, rather than doing what they think might be right.

Intoware’s new software engineer, Mark Hundley-Appleton joins from electricals retailer AO where he was a junior software developer working within its payment team. In his new role Mark will be focusing on optimising the speed and performance of WorkfloPlus.

Lee McDonald, Intoware’s chief technology officer, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Paul and Mark, two very talented and experienced hires to strengthen our software engineering team at this exciting time for the business. I’m looking forward to working with them as we meet new challenges and opportunities this year.”

Paul Cope, senior software engineer said: “I’m excited to join this young SaaS company, WorkfloPlus replaces paper-processes to bring greater efficiency to frontline workers, all within a single app that can be accessed via smartphones and wearables to complete asset inspection tasks with supporting GPS location, time and date data for greater transparency between the office and field.”

Mark Hundley-Appleton, software engineer, added: “It will be great to work on WorkfloPlus as it’s designed to integrate with RealWear assisted reality (AR) wearables, providing the right information when you need it to help drive the future of frontline working.”
