Sustainability: OT Group gets planting

OT Group, a distributor of business services and workplace solutions, has signed a multi-year partnership with The Tree Council in a bid to preserve the UK’s natural landscape and plant 10,000 trees.

As part of the partnership, OT Group will participate in a raft of fundraising and volunteering initiatives, including committing £5,000 to the ‘Big Give Match Fund’ campaign to raise funds for The Tree Council’s Orchards for Schools programme.

As one of 70 corporate Jubilee Partners for The Queen’s Green Canopy, it will also help plant 35,000 trees and seven kilometres of hedgerow in communities across the UK before the end of the Jubilee planting season in 2023.

Andrew Jones, OT Group CEO, said: “We are delighted to have signed a multi- year partnership with The Tree Council. As OT Group is a Royal Warrant Holder, the Queen’s Canopy is something we were particularly keen to be a part of, to celebrate the late Queen’s Jubilee.”

He added: “With a large proportion of OT Group’s office supplies being paper-based, we’re keen to try and mitigate the impact that has on the planet and have committed to planting 10,000 trees by the end of 2023.”
