Secureworks® (NASDAQ: SCWX), a global leader in cybersecurity, today announced that it has appointed Simon Moor as its new VP EMEA Sales. Moor will be responsible for accelerating long term growth in the EMEA region, with a particular focus on customer-centricity as well as expanding the channel and partner business. Moor’s appointment comes after Secureworks Taegis saw $201m million ARR (an increase of 100% on a year-over-year basis) and reported 1,500 customers were now on the Taegis cloud-native security platform for Q2, fiscal 2023. He will report directly into Ian Bancroft, Chief Revenue Officer.
Moor has almost thirty years’ experience in the technology sector, the majority of which has been in cybersecurity. He joins Secureworks from Trellix, where he was VP EMEA. During his career, Moor has built, operationalised and grown EMEA operations at Fire Eye, Checkpoint and Symantec.
“I was immediately struck by the unrivalled understanding that Secureworks has of the threat landscape and the quality of our threat intelligence. We’ve poured twenty plus years of managing Security Operations for our customers into an automated platform built for the many; one that enables organisations to defend themselves against the latest threats. That’s a compelling proposition for customers that are navigating a constantly evolving threat with scarce resources at a time when cyber has become a boardroom priority,” commented Simon Moor, VP EMEA Sales, Secureworks.
“We’ve got good momentum in the EMEA region including signing partnerships with Saepio in the UK, Sertalink in Benelux and Unicorp in Dubai. My focus now is on how we continue to scale the business. The channel is going to be pivotal to that. Investing in our partner relationships and experiences is a top priority for myself and the team as we look excitedly towards the future,” Moor concluded.
Secureworks approach to XDR is unique in the market. Its superior detection gives complete attack surface visibility for customers, quickly and accurately. It ingests more than 486 billion cyber events daily from over 100 integrations and enriches those integrations with industry leading intelligence. The XDR platform also offers an unmatched response with live chat feature connecting customers to an expert SOC analyst in under a minute.
“Leaders of Simon’s calibre are extremely rare, and we are delighted that he has joined to lead our EMEA business as we continue our business transformation. Throughout his career Simon has built high performing teams centred around customer needs and requirements, to drive innovation and continued product development. That coupled with his in-depth understanding of routes to market and the partner ecosystem has propelled him to impressive growth in previous roles and we look forward to expanding Secureworks EMEA footprint together,” said Ian Bancroft, Chief Revenue Officer, Secureworks.
